A risk in project management is anything that could affect your project’s timeline, performance, or budget. Risks are potential problems and in a project management context, they become issues that must be addressed if haven’t been apprehended. (Ray, 2021) Having a background in Marketing, we were not trained for risk management. Most of the training is more on problem solving and crisis management where risks have already become issues and we find ways how to mitigate the effects.
